On October 15th, 2019, Muscle Shoals Recordings signed two great artists to their roster, Alecia Elliott and Ed Hill, who have both had illustrious careers in the music business.
At age nine, Alecia got the chance of a lifetime, when Lorrie Morgan heard a tape of Alecia and invited her to sing a concert duet. By age fifteen, MCA signed her to a deal and began work on her first album. Alecia also signed a deal with NBC Network, Peter Engel, to do a Saturday morning TV show called, “All About Us,” for which she co-wrote the theme song, “Brand New Day.” She has taken the stage with a list of artists that include Pam Tillis, Brenda Lee, Loretta Lyn, Billy Ray Cyrus, Collin Ray, Joe Diffie, Bebe and Cece Winans, Johnny Cash, Keith Urban, and went on tour opening for Christina Aguilera. She sang a duet with Vince Gill and has appeared on the Tonight Show. She is a well-rounded singer who will most definitely captivate her audience. Alecia has a voice filled with soul beyond her years that will no doubt appeal to music lovers of all ages.
Grammy nominated songwriter Ed Hill had his first major label single in 1989 with Reba McEntire’s “’Til Love Comes Again”. Since then he’s received multi-millionaire awards for numerous singles, most notably “Drinking Class” by Lee Brice, which was Billboard’s most-played country song of 2015 and “Most People Are Good” by Luke Bryan, which was Music row Awards Song of the Year 2018. Ed’s new book, “It Matters To Me” is available now on Amazon and on his website www.edhill-music.com. Autographed copies are also available on the website. Ed was BMI Songwriter of the Year in 2006. He has received dozens of BMI awards, nominated twice by The Academy of Country Music in the Piano Player of the Year category and was a member of the Grammy Award winning Urban Cowboy Band. He was nominated for The Nashville Songwriters Hall of Fame in 2018 and 2019.
